Revery In Old Greenwood Is One of Our Fav Places And Here’s Why!

Dining room at Revery in Old Greenwood

Just 15 minutes from downtown Indianapolis is a little gem, Old Greenwood. This historic district is full of old world charm and has one of our team’s fav places for a fun family dinner or a romantic couple’s brunch.

Cool, Old World Charm and Great Food!

On the outside, Revery has a cool, old school character that is chock full of charm. Once inside, it has a more modern bistro vibe going on.

We love the friendly staff and the easy atmosphere. Although it features a gourmet type menu, there is nothing stuffy about this place. The meal starts with a bucket of flavored popcorn (the featured flavors change regularly) and is complimented at the end with cotton candy. This is a very nice touch that for us makes Revery stand out.

Their focus is simple food presented artistically, and we have never been disappointed.  We love to check out their Facebook page to see what new dish they are offering that features local livestock or produce.  Their creativity is boundless and often surprising. (We remember the dill pickle flavored popcorn that we were skeptical about, but that was actually exquisite!)

Featured menu item of biscuit gravy and tenderloin made with local produce and livestock.

Duck fat biscuits and gravy Indy style. Fried pork tenderloin, chorizo gravy and a locally produced egg. Yum!

The menu has enough variety to keep our kids happy (by-the-way, they provide crayons to keep the kiddos busy, bless them!) and also satisfy a mature palate. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive, and there is a fabulous bar. (Check out how to make the perfect mint julip for the next Derby from bartender Adam Hayden.)

For Sunday brunch, we recommend dining on the outdoor patio. Just sit back, relax in the sunshine and enjoy some really good food.
